NEWS FROM VALHALLA, STILL COLD
It has been down to 32 degrees the past two mornings. Today sunny but still windy. Had wind almost all week. Cabins were all full for last weekend of opening, had to turn some guys away. No room in the inn. Walleye fishing was very good and all reported catching many fish. The sunfish were even biting really well. Many walleye were 20 ins. and some were 24 ins. Thought you fisherman might like the report.
The faithful Delta Pilots were here this past week; just left today. Three of them are from Atlanta,Ga.. and one from S. Minnesota. They have been coming every year for 35 Years !! They made reservations for next year also. They never complain about the weather; just happy to be here and be tog. with old buddies. They log about 30 miles of jogging, like to bird watch and sit and look at the lake. They are all retired now.
Its quiet out there on the Family Blog. I'm sure everyone is busy.

Happy Mothers Day !
Happy mothers day to all the mom's out there.
The kids and I took Sue out for mothers day eve supper last night. She said she wanted to beat the dinner rush. Have to do what the boss says you know. Ya, she has me fairly well trained! She's on a mission to stay in bed until noon today, say's it's her day and she deserves it!
Mom , (Janet) says she had a great time on her trip down to see everyone. Think she would have stayed longer as she gets there only once in awhile.
The kids are counting days until school is out, the end of the month. Then all the summer rec, stuff starts, busy busy.
Time to go work in the yard today, got the day off from the farm. Dad and I haven't got anything planted yet, too wet here. Kevan & Barry (who I work for) have some done, a thousand acres or so , so we have some done. Long way to go yet.

Lois Ann Update
Just spoke to Kevin and all is fine. will be leaving the hospital tomorrow, and as long as she waits a few months to run a marathon she should be up and about very soon.

Beach Bums
Jan and I had a wonderful vacation in Riviera Maya, Mexico (75 miles south of Cancun). Good flights, perfect weather, incredible food, beautiful beaches....what a great place to spend a week with your best friend. I highly recommend the all inclusive vacation. This was our second trip to Mexico with Apple Vacations. They offer something called the square deal. We chose the 5 Apple Square Deal to Riviera Maya. We were guaranteed a 5 Apple rated resort in Riviera Maya, oceanfront, all inclusive, but you don't find out until the day before you leave exactly where you will be staying, We couldn't have been happier with our accomodations. Now back to work and dieting until our next trip.

I've been without a computer for a little bit and so haven't posted for quite a while...here is my youngest, Kjirsten Stickney on her way to the Underwood prom. She's in her Jr year and she is currently in Orlando at Disney with the school choir and band. Fun fun year!

US Fidelis
Intrigued by the commercials on TV for US Fidelis, the auto warranty program?
I was, so I started looking into it. Didn't get very far before I discovered a great many consumer complaints, and very few satisfied customers. No one on any of the sites I looked at were reimbursed 100% for any covered repair. Most of the satisfied people were US Fidelis employees.
The Missouri Attorney General has started a fraud investigation of US Fidelis, even though "favorite son" Rusty Wallace is advertising for the company.
There may be warranty companies out there who are honest and above board, but it appears the US Fidelis is not one of them.
