San Diego Ship Launch

I spent last week in the NASSCO shipyard in San Diego. This was my second visit to this shipyard. They invited me to come back and spend a week in their yard showing them the products that I sell. They invited Jan and I to attend the Christening Ceremony and Launch of the USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10 Navy Supply Ship). Jan joined me in San Diego on friday and we spent the weekend escaping the cold of Indiana. We attended the launch on saturday morning. What an incredible thing to see. It was amazing to see a 689 foot long ship slide into the pacific. It was something that I never imagined I would ever see, and I'm sure that I will never forget. What a wonderful weekend in Southern California with Jan.

I said yes.

My sweet Chris proposed to me yesterday in my childhood home. It was so sweet. He said he wanted to propose to me in the place where my heart first learned to love. He asked my whole family for their blessing and they gave it to him. We have been dating for nearly 2 years. We have been waiting til all 4 of our children seem ready for this step. Glad we have taken things slowly. Blending 2 families is quite a process. We do not know any details yet. Just wanted you all to know. -Sara and Chris
