Please keep an eye out for a school project

We just wanted to get the word out that Zachary has a "travel buddy" floating around out there somewhere and to keep a look out in case he happens to arrive in your mailbox. This "buddy" is a little stuffed frog that is traveling and in so doing helping the Pine Island third graders learn geography. He comes with instructions but basically you fill out a sheet on where he is, maybe include some local info, and send him on to someone else. They also like it when a post card (or whatever) is sent to the address included in the packet so they can track them (and keep the excitement up). They have a huge map on the wall in the third grade hall where they post locations visited, therefore learning geography in a fun way. At least if they get some post cards along the way, they are sure to get something in case the little guy gets lost in the mail before he makes it home this spring. Plus the wall fills up faster too!

Zachary gave his buddy to Grandma and the word is that he's heading for warmer climates (though that's not saying much considering what it's been like here). So if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to get the little guy sent to you, we thank you for helping out! Just as a point of interest, when Nicholas was in third grade, his buddy went to the Cain side of the family and he got 3 postcards back so we thought we'd try the other side this time. If you don't happen to be one of the lucky ones, don't worry, there's still Jacob in 2 years and Matthew in 4!
