WOW, that is beautiful !! I didnt think it would grow that fast and do so well in such a short time. Must be the mild winter in Indiana. Mine is not blooming yet. The deer ate a few leaves and buds one night and ruined my beautiful rose bush that was covered with a zillion buds. Wish I could shoot that deer !!!! My hydrangea had 40 flowers on it last summer. They are beautiful. Tamie gave me that plant; Im sure she is envious when she sees your picture. She must take some of it.
Hydrangeas...ooh! How long do they take to look this good? I have one that was a twig when I got it, and it's about 2 years old now. It's very slowly getting bigger, but just wondering if I should do anything to coax it along.
You are such an awesome person, Missy...cherry pie at Easter (I don't know very many people your age who even know how to MAKE a pi!) and now i see you love gardening too. Wish i lived closer and could get to know you better, girl! Does your hydrangea get enough sun?
You should see the vegetable garden this year! It's the best year so far, but I guess that's probably because I've been after those weeds better than other years...that takes a lot of work...but we're finally getting there. The hydrangea is in a mostly sunny spot, somewhat shaded by a tree.
Missy, Bennies is probably two to three years old. It was not blooming here when he took it last year. He must have a green thumb. It does like the sun. I have mine on the South East corner of the house.
