Christmas Family

Ok Sink Family---we've got to do better than this for our christmas family. I have let the mother know that we're going to be buying gifts for the family, but like Stephanie's post said, we are still over $400 short of what we have had and would like to have. So far, we have only collected money from folks in Indiana that were at Thanksgiving. We haven't received any money from out of state this year, or anyone not at Thanksgiving. In the past, we have always had enough money for plenty of good gifts Christmas morning, and also money to help pay necessities (like electric/heat bills.) This is a large family this year, and I would love nothing more than to be able to provide them with just that. We voted and decided not to buy each other gifts, but to put that money toward our christmas family, but it seems we haven't done that. I'm not trying to lecture, even though I may be, but I think this is the most wonderful thing we as a family can do for another family, and this is a great 'new' tradition that I don't want to see us lose. Please remember how fortunate and blessed we are as a family, and how unfortunate many families are. We truely make a difference for these families. If you haven't given yet, please do so. You can send the money to either Stephanie or I. If you are going to send money, please let us know so we know how much money we have to work with because we are going to need to go shopping soon. Thank you guys so much! paulaschlarb@aol.com

i am sending you $50 today. I am sorry I have been unable to send it until now. bless you. p.s. maybe people aren't checking the blog. i have been rarely checking it latley because it is takin FOR-EVER to load onto my computer. unsure why, but sometimes it takes 3 minutes to be able to read anything. I wonder if all the cute graphics on the blog's background clogs things up, in addition to all the [pictures people put on here make it slow. Most of us up here in minnesota all live far back in the woods and do not have fast internet service. i'll bet at least half of us still can only have dial-=up. mine is DSL, but only slightly quicker than dial-up. who knows, maybe it is just my slow old computer. I have hardly been checking the blog because of this slowness. I suspect other people aren't checking the blog much and have not seen your posts.
