FACTS

I most certainly do not want to do anything to upset my BIG GAME HUNTING GUIDE, But I am just after the facts. The latest picture does not prove anything. Supreme Commander Bob is the only one in the picture, holding a case of red pop (which is probably empty by now). He could have went to the store and bought it Himself.
On the other hand, the Blog clearly states in black and white or tan that Hawk gave Steve a case of red pop for a pass into the Resort, which He (Steve) accepted. I am sorry.

Commander Ranger Rick

ATTENTION NATIONAL CRICKET HEADQUARTERS!!!

Caught this guy redhanded taking bribes from some out of state tourists....thought this picture

could be useful for the case involving Mr. Crow. Take a good hard look at photo -- does he look
like Upper Management,,, No,,, I think your going after the wrong guy...
Your local Becker County Reporter
From National Cricket & (frog) Headquarters located at Roanoke, IN
Go back and reread Blog: Back on the Force Again.
You will see that a Valhalla Management person ACCEPTED a Bribe from the defendant, of a few measly bottles of red pop, and He let the accused pass. This is clearly against the Law, and He the (management person) is in very hot water, and could be put on trial himself for accepting a bribe. He also may be sued by the defendant, Mr. Hawk
This is not Fair to let Mr. Hawk rot in a Valhalla jail when He and his Lovely wife drove 800 miles to go fishing on BEAUTIFUL ISLAND LAKE.

Cricket ban started July 26,2008

Yes it is true that i brought crickets to Valhalla but the ban on them started as stated in the title....I can only uphold the law as it is given to me and i cant believe that my own family has turned against me in this hour of need...on a lighter note inmate crow was allowed to enjoy a fish dinner before returning to the Valhalla correction center

OBJECTION YOUR HONOR

Point of Facts that have to be obtained
1. Was Mr. Crow given the MIRANDA... if not ...all charges should be dropped
2. Was this ILLEGAL search and Seizure given without a) Mr. Crows permission? and b) given without a proper warrant?
3. Circus of Events erroneously and fiendishly cast by "Commander" just for his entertainment....
I Can Clearly Say.....NOT GUILTY.....
COMMANDER SHOULD BE PLACE ON PROBATION FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 2008 SHORE PATROLLMAN SEASON......SHAME ON YOU.......SHAME

Eyewitness (not to mention "footwitness") report

I would like to provide a first-hand account of the newly revealed allegations against Supreme Commander Patrolman Bob: I was in residence with the Commander in the summer of 2005, I believe it was, when he not only smuggled crickets onto Valhalla Resort property, but also housed them on the porch of Cabin #2! The crickets quickly took to their new surroundings, many making themselves comfortable not only on the porch, but also in each of the bedrooms and the bathroom, especially enjoying the shelter of shoes. I apologize to the Commander for having to come forward like this, but I think it is in the best interest of the current investigation and party accused that this information be shared. It is my belief that only with all of the information can the jury make a truly sound decision. Now the question remains - what is the statute of limitations on cricket smuggling and will the accuser become an accussee? *cue the dramatic music*

IS THE SECURITY DUDE A VIOLATOR TOO?????

When exactly did this cricket ban start? If I remember correctly, only a couple of years ago....COMMANDER SUPREME SHOREPATROL BOB (or whatever alias he is using these days) also brought crickets into Valhalla. Is that the pot calling the kettle black? Did you guys do a background check on your security dude? I'm sorry to have to turn on you Benny (another alias), but I can't stand by and watch while an innocent man loses his freedom. What is the statute of limitations on cricket smuggling anyway?Maybe there should be another vote/trial for the security dude......just a thought. I'll be in town on Saturday to investigate this further~!

Just the facts.....

So the jury in Indiana can be more educated, where exactly is this posting of no crickets. we need to have more proof against this guy. He is working on a 7 to 5 vote right now. I think he should have been stripped searched on the spot, who knows what else he had on him! Are the rates going to go up now that this is a "gated community" with security so to speak?

P.S. Pond Party reminder, August 9th, pass it on

A Note from the desk of the Supreme Commander Patrolman Bob

The question is (guilt or not guilt) not if frogs and crickets are legal in Minn..Clearly stated on the sign posted well before his arrival,,in plane view the words NO CRICKETS..I feel there should be no further debate on this matter..if you have ever stepped in cricket poop you know of what i say,

Please allow me to introduce myself

If any of you are wondering who is writing this my name is Chris Eck and I have the extreme priviledge of being Sara's boyfriend. I'm 5 foot 1 inch tall and 350 pounds. One of my eyes droops quite a bit and I drool but Sara still thinks I'm cute. I am a social worker and Sara says maybe I can settle some of the family disputes over crickets and frogs. Valhalla truely is a piece of heaven and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can as the family members that I have met are great. Steve has not threatened to beat me up yet so I must be doing something right. Or maybe he is letting me get a false sense of security. Maybe I'll see if Bennie will moonlight as a personal bodyguard.

Sara handed over the keyboard to me and told me to search for cricket regulations. Could not find any but seems like a pretty popular bait for the sunfish crowd. Did find the regulation for Sara's frog question and here it is below. I think he is innocent and should sue for illegal search ansd siezure.

Frogs: May 16 to March 31 licensed anglers and children under age 16
may take, use, buy, and sell an unlimited number of frogs up to 6 inches
long for bait. A DNR license is required to take frogs for purposes other
than bait. Bullfrogs are native to SE corner of MN, but are invasive and destructive elsewhere in the state.
.

crickets illegal?

Ok, i am happy to be ALLOWED to return to the blog. I promise not to complain about the weather or brag about how much snow we get until november. Right now it's just plain ol' HOT!!

So, is using crickets for bait illegal, or what? I think using frogs for bait is illegal, but i am unsure of the cricket law. Maybe you can't transport crickets across state lines? Who has the info? let's hear which statues he has violated...anyone have the minnesota fishing regulation manual? let's find out what the big bad problem is, then i might change my vote. I think the "beach boy" and his goon are just jealous of all the fish they catch with the crickets. what a bunch of goofballs. I am waiting to see Benny's new uniform. i hear he got one. He might end up getting arrested, though...trying to impersonate an officer. Next he needs a bullhhorn.

Hey...who all is coming up the first week of august? I can't wait to see you all! -sara

I just have to say, I love this family! This whole Valhalla Shore Patrol thing is hilarious :) I hope other families have as much fun as we do!

Not a whole lot going on here. School starts in 3 and 1/2 weeks, which is slightly depressing. It has been SO great to have the summer off, but back to the grind I guess. The most exciting (but scary too!) thing that has probably happened is that I finally got my house refianced - so it is now all mine (and the bank's, I suppose)! A lot of house for just little 'ol me and my kitty cats, but it is still a relief to have it all taken care of. If the housing market ever picks up though, selling it will be a high priority for when I head off to pharmacy school. Anyone wanna live in Noblesville? :D

Here are some pictures of a weekend sailing trip I took to Lake Michigan. It was neat and thankfully not too windy!

SINK FAMILY ARISE

Since the apprehension of Mr. Crow (clearly guilt of smuggling crickets into Valhalla)"note picture below" Commander (no one up here was aware of a promotion) Ranger Rick pleaded that he be set free...The Honorable Judge Normie made a ruling today that this is a sink family decision...Therefore the trial is set for Fri at 9:00 am and the family must vote to either send him up the creek or let him go...Patrolman Bob votes guilty

STING OPERATION NABS INDIANA MAN

After much anticipation the construction of the new guard station at the entrance of Vallhalla was completed this morning ..Shortly after it was open for operation this guy shows up and was detained after this box of live crickets was found in his possession they will never learn

Hawk getting frisked.

Checking for weapons and more!!! Good job Ben!

BACK ON THE FORCE AGAIN!!!

Here's Shorepatrolman Bob checking for contraband coming across Point Of Entry into the resort. First offender of the day was Hawk and Linda trying to sneak in crickets for fishing bluegills. Hawk ended up getting frisked(linda said she slap ben if he frisked her!) and in the end he bribed steve for a pass into the resort with a case of red pop. The resort is safe again for another week.
Stay tuned --more to come.

Pretty Princess Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Emma Dorman! Sara's baby turned 5 and we celebrated with a great party on Mom's screened in porch yesterday. I would show you some great pictures, but i didn't have a camera with me. It may be that my sisters would share some very cute photos if you bribed them but on the other hand, they are afraid of our brother. Personally, i am feeling well protected now that our shore patrol is back on duty. But, um, on second thought, i think he was the guy wearing the tiarra....

Holiday Weekend

We had such a fun (busy!) weekend! July 2 was Camden's 3rd birthday. It just so happened that the swingset we had ordered, was delivered that day, so he thought it was great to have a big truck at his house on his birthday. On Friday, Carl and Austin got the swingset put together while we were at mom and dad's. When we got home that night, Camden about came out of his skin! He was so excited, he was jumping up and down, squealing, clapping, it was a great reaction! Here is a picture of him after he climbed up the ladder! He's so happy!

This is a picture from his birthday party. He got this squirt gun for playing around the pool. Turns out the big boys liked it just as much as he did....and the big boys don't listen when you tell them to stop!

Here is a picture of the boys on the fourth riding in the Jeep at Grammy and Poppy's house.

And here are the boys enjoying the sparklers....Camden was a little afraid at first, but after he saw it wouldn't hurt, he didn't want to stop.
Grant on the other hand.....yikes! No fear.....scared the heck out of me! He held it for about 4 seconds and then tried to grab the sparks with his other hand...game over!
We also went over to our church camp this weekend for a family day. Many people climbed the rock wall, including Kirby and Brenna. We also had a canoe race....but we don't need to talk about who won, do we Kirby? haha

Nicaragua

Cody and I went to Nicaragua for a church Mission Trip, It did not start out very well as we were left at the gate in Florida and had to wait 2 days to leave ( Don't Fly Spirit airlines).
After we finally arrived 3:00am we got to work 7:00am (long day). We got a lot accomplished as we were constructing walls for a church and parsonage. The blocks were a little heavy 100 pounds ea and we laid up 132 the first day and too tired to count the days after that. I think I killed 6 or so Tarantulas as we back filled the footers.
I enjoyed taking Cody down there to let him realize the blessings we have here. They say Nicaragua is the Second poorest county in South America (Haiti first). Benny went to the Third....so WE WIN..

I went to Honduras Mission in 97 and Melissa Kaylah and I went to Jamaica Mission in 2003 so Kyle will the the next to go somewhere.

We got to go on this canopy tour....Very Cool.,..we zip lined down a Volcano that is a coffee plantation. The size of the trees were huge ( I guess 8' across at the 40 foot mark), it was awesome as the fog rolled in and it rained as we zipped down.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BENNIE BENDER ! !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BENNIE, THE TREE, ROBERT, SHORE PATROLMAN, ETC.

Happy birthday to you Bennie, Happy Belated birthday to you, Nancy , and to Lois. I sort of get lost when we are so busy, so dont get my Greetings out on time.

We had a busy July 4th. with full house and many campers in tents and campers. I think we had about 23 people in all just camping in the campground. They were really good and quiet and the kids were very well behaved. It was a good group. They only stayed the 3 days, but all the cabins are full for the whole week. We have one vacancy starting this Sat.

Happy Birthday to you Mary Ann on Sat. See you soon.

Love to all, Norma Jean

Saturday, July 5, 2008

Ranger Rick , have you seen your sidekick?

We heard through the grapevine that you might know where your sidekick is.. I've got the door open at the house and hear very loud music coming from the campground and I don't know what to do! We need our shore patrolman here with the flashing lights and big shiny badge.

I hear you might be coming up at the end of august to protect us

from the bear in the area with that big black shinin gun of yours.

Please let us know if you've seen him.

Steve

Attention Sink's

Going along with what Jan asked a couple blog's ago, remember at Christmas we discussed getting together in the summer? We will be having a pond party at the Sink Hole. What I need to know is if anyone will be out of town any certain weekends. We may try to have it yet in July still or maybe the 1st or 2nd weekend in August. I know there isn't that perfect date out there for everybody but if we can get some kind of count soon, we can get it planned. Please blog soon!! --Melissa.

Happy Birthday Kirby

Kirby's birthday was actually last week, however he was in Nicaragua with Cody and some others from church. Kent and Karen, myself and the kids got him a hammock, hope he gets the hint to stop and smell the roses once in a while, or a least the pine trees that it hangs from!!

I'm trying to get him to put some pics on so you can see what they did down there, maybe Cody could do it for him.

Still doing the baseball and softball thing with Kyle and Brenna. Cody has been working several places trying to make some money. Other than that, life is good!!

Our place is always available too for a Sink Hole pond party, that's the sign Kirby made for our pond. P.S. our boat is the S.S.SINK.

Been a long time

My surgery hopefully went better this time. I get my stitches out on Thursday. I have some questions for the Dr. because when he went in the first time he had told my mom that he got all of the cyst and even scraped the joint. This time when it was finished he told my sister that it was the same cyst. From what i've heard the only way it can be the same cyst is if he didn't get it all the first time. So, hopefully this will be the last time i have to have this surgery. If i have to have it again i think i will go to another dr.

The girls are good, but Madalyn has started this thing where she completely blocks you out, and just ignores you. And she has started whining a lot, it is driving me crazy.

We also have a house guest for awhile. It looks like my sister will be staying here for awhile. Most of you don't know her unless you go to ZUB. But she has terrible luck in the relationship department. We thought this guy was definitely the one, but he started showing a different side. And Nichol tried to discuss things with him and even suggested counseling but he refused.

Anyways, It hasn't been bad having her here since i haven't been able to do everything because of my hand. She has been a lot of help.

We also have a new addition to the family, their names are Goldie and Goldielocks. They are to bright orange molly fish. Chloe has been wanting fish for a long time and she finally got them. She does very well taking care of them. She was the one who named them, I thought she did pretty good.

Thats all here.

Maya Ruins

When moving to one clinic to another we pasted by the maya ruins in lower copan region..this city was 18 miles square...huge and they have only begun to dig..if i have the story right Drew Smith with Ball State may have a chance to go here to dig...what a neat thing... We took a group picture and this year their was 11 either RN',,EMT's and one doctor,,the rest are the gofors ,,its hard to get the faces of the children out of my mind their was so many as with the young girl in the top picture,,,,
