more snow :-(

Well, at least we don't live on a flood plain! poor Fargo residents...yet on TV you see all their faces just a-smilin' as they chuck sandbags to one another! I suppose you are experiencing a lot of water there, too!

We are getting more snow...again. temps are not bad, so that is good. 30's during the day. School got let out early again and we are getting snow,snow, snow! We'll see when it'll stop this time.

Good afternoon everyone. This is our first posting so I hope it works. Cindy is looking for our story board to display photographs at Cal and Lois anniversary open house. Spring Breaker

Cody left for Florida with Campus Life last night. When I dropped him off there seemed to be quite a few dads checking out the engine of the bus they were taking. Apparently this bus tops out at 60mph and they were checking to see if it would even make it out of Wells County. I was under the impression they would be taking a charter bus, far from it, I think this might have been one of the first school buses to be driven around here. The director of Campus Life said it took them around 23 hours to get there last year with very minimal stops, I think they were afraid to turn it off once they got it going. Cody said he just planned on sleeping on the way down, not sure how much sleep he's going to get in those seats, plus the stench on that bus was enough to keep anybody up!! Good times, hope they make it.

House Update!

We sold our house today!!!! Two weeks on the market and it's sold! Our realtor has never sold a house that quickly, ever. We actually had to cancel our open house scheduled for this weekend. AND, although someone else put an offer on the house we wanted today, we had a contingent offer already accepted. It came together so perfectly and now we are looking to close on both houses at the end of April!! I can hardly believe it!!

I am trying not to get too excited, but word is we are going to get an offer on our house tomorrow!! (It will have only been on the market for 2 weeks tomorrow!) I am praying that this works out for us, we'll let you know!!

Happy Birthday to Janet today. I remember the night the twins were born. We kids were at a basketball game with Dad at Lafayette School, Dad was called home and us kids went to Tom Chaneys house to stay the night. The next day we came home and found two Babies in the cradle. What a Surprise!

The temp. at Valhalla was 48 above today and the snow is melting fast. Quite a contrast to the -28 to - 30 we had three days ago.

I love the bear video, Brian. I suppose the bear are coming out of hibernation now that we are having warmer weather; and they are probably hungery.

You Poor Guys Up North

We have been quiet because we have been at the beach with Bryce and Alysha this week they are on spring break,,,its been in the upper 80"s so we have to wear shorts and tee"s and have the air conditioner turned on high........ don't know if we can stand much more..... also found this picture in national gorilla post and something quite strange about this picture but can't put my finger on it.....

Steve said it was -28 this a.m.

Don't you feel sorry for us Tom? I saw - 20 this a.m. at 8:00, but was colder earlier up at Steves house -28 and - 30 in town at the bus garage. The wind is blowing some, so there is a wind chill also.
Bennie and Mary are awfully quiet lately; I hope they didnt get kidnapped down there in Fla. I dont think they would want ornery Bennie !!

Hope no one is bothered by the flooding around the area.

here are some pictures. (hopefully it worked) if not-i'll try another time. the camera never shows the real magnitude of the amount of snow. on the one picture you can maybe see that the snow was up past the entry's windows. i had to force the screen door open and thought i might break it. but it went alright! thank goodness for 4 wheel drive! I think we got more snow up here than mom got. i had 8-10 inches on tuesday plowed and had another 6-8 inches today removed. add wind to that, and you have mega drifts. Too cold for anyone SANE to drive around, (so that is why we were all driving around!-we're insane) -45 wind chills. brrr. sure is pretty now though with everything still and blanketed in white. sheer ice on the road this morning. i could have skated to work. anyway, hope the pictures are of interest to you. it never looks as bad as it really is. Ready for spring. i hear it's coming next week. they are liars...we don't get spring until the end of may! ha!

Blizzard Conditions Leaving !!

The weather not so good here the past two days. I dont know how much snow we have gotten, but 8 to 10 ins in the area all around. We were on the East side of the storm, but still not good here. This is the second day of school closings; I m sure there are to many drifts for the buses to get through. Temp is - 15 now at 9 a.m. Wind chill much lower, I think I saw -30 to -35 this a.m. Steve will have a lot of snow to plow again. Lauris Jean hit a drift on the highway and ice under from ground drifting; flipped her car and landed upside down. It was at 5 a.m. in the morning; found her cell phone and called 911. She was not . hurt badly, no cuts, but her neck isn't good. She will need therapy. Sun is shining brightly today.

Selling our House

Carl and I just put our house on the market last week. We have already found another home we love and believe it or not, we already have a contingent offer in (& accepted) on that house. Please pray that we can sell our house quickly!! We could REALLY use some more space!

I kissed a girl and I liked it..

Marissa spent some time swimming with a dolphin named Marianna recently in Cabo and she had a great time. She got to dance, ride, hold, pet and of course kiss the dolphin. I was not sure what to expect but it was really fun to watch.

Sara and Chris' kids

So, In response to Missy's question about Chris' kids...He has 2 adorable kids-Caden and Katryna. They are nearly 9 and 6. Caden is 7 months older than Ethan and Katryna is 5 months older than Emma. It is as close to having twins as I will ever get! They all get along well with one another and they have a GREAT time together. Our families fit together very nicely and it has been a wonderful first year getting to know one another. ** Sigh ** We will see what the next year brings! ;-) God bless you all. We can't wait to see you people again this summer.
