Cody and I went to Nicaragua for a church Mission Trip, It did not start out very well as we were left at the gate in Florida and had to wait 2 days to leave ( Don't Fly Spirit airlines).
After we finally arrived 3:00am we got to work 7:00am (long day). We got a lot accomplished as we were constructing walls for a church and parsonage. The blocks were a little heavy 100 pounds ea and we laid up 132 the first day and too tired to count the days after that. I think I killed 6 or so Tarantulas as we back filled the footers.
I enjoyed taking Cody down there to let him realize the blessings we have here. They say Nicaragua is the Second poorest county in South America (Haiti first). Benny went to the Third....so WE WIN..
I went to Honduras Mission in 97 and Melissa Kaylah and I went to Jamaica Mission in 2003 so Kyle will the the next to go somewhere.
We got to go on this canopy tour....Very Cool.,..we zip lined down a Volcano that is a coffee plantation. The size of the trees were huge ( I guess 8' across at the 40 foot mark), it was awesome as the fog rolled in and it rained as we zipped down.

I haven't had time to check the blog lately, but it was so awesome to read about your trip to Nicaragua, Kirby and Cody! We are so happy that you spend time helping these people with their projects while you take time away from yours. For The Kingdom!!
p.s.
What is "zip lined"?
it is where you are up in the trees and slide to another via a cable...like you see in the movies...we were up about 50 feet...i think the longest zip was about 100 yards
